my son was about eight when he lost his first tooth. we asked his dentist if he had adult teeth in his gums.it took some time before more followed and then they started coming out one after the other.by that time he didnt believe in the tooth fairy. he still wanted paid though.

When Evan lost his first tooth at the tender age of five I freaked out. I thought he had knocked it out and that we would have to make an emergency trip to the dentist to see if something could be done. Luckily I had the foresight to first call my mother to see when I lost my first tooth and I was five also. Freak out averted. Who knew there would be so much drama over a silly tooth?

BTW I... I mean the tooth fairy gives him four quarters and a piece of gum. He always swallows the gum despite my persistent coaching on gum etiquette.
